5 Children Rescued and 77 Men Arrested in Child Pornography Investigations
June 10, 2009Operation Orange Tree was a 10-week collaborative effort among Florida’s law enforcement agencies to take down child predators who possessed and traded child pornography over peer-to-peer netwroks. Five children who were subjects of child pornography or were sexually victimized were rescued, according to Florida Governor Charlie Crist’s office and the Naples Daily News. Law enforcement officers executed 90 search warrants and seized thousands of child pornography photos and videos, including a tutorial video that instructs viewers on methods to molest young children while avoiding detection. Arrests also included a 76-year-old that had images of babies in diapers being sexually assaulted.
