British Citizens Display Outrage at Light Child Pornography Sentence
April 2, 2009Colin Ralph,43, the head of a British charity was convicted of downloading and possessing child pornography of children as young as 8-years-old being sexually abused, but has received no jail time.
According to the Guardian, local residents are shocked. A neighbour in his 40s said: I thought hed get a custodial (jail time). Hows this sentence a message to others? Wheres the punishment? It makes a mockery of whats happened.
A woman in her 30s, who knew Ralph for five years, added: Im fuming. I have children myself. I dont know where the British justice system is going. The child victims will be imprisoned in their own heads for the rest of their lives. Theyre not going to have a normal life like he is. I reckon he should have got at least ten years.
