Children’s Author Arrested on Child Pornography Charges
April 7, 2009Kevin Patrick Bath, who went by the pen name K.P. Bath, a children’s author and library volunteer in Oregon, was arrested for possessing and distributing child sexual assault images of children as young as 4-years-old being brutally raped.
Multnomah County Library managers said that since 2001 Bath has volunteered at the Central Branch Children’s Library, helping out with the summer reading program and working as a homework help volunteer.
According to Newsradio KXL, U.S. Attorney Karin Immergut said more than 100 videos and thousands of images of child pornography were found on Bath’s computer.
“The children shown in these reprehensible images are victimized not only when the images are created, but every time the images are traded and viewed,” Immergut said.
