Eastern Michigan ICAC Takes Child Predator Off Streets

June 5, 2009

James Peck was recently convicted of blackmailing three juvenile females (ages 11, 13 and 14) into taking pictures of themselves nude.  He has been convicted of manufacturing of child abusive material, and could serve anywhere from 29  months to 20 years.  Sentencing is set for June 23rd.  This case had encrypted files and folders, as well as passwords that were cracked thanks to the equipment purchased through the help of generous donations by local Michigan donors including the Michigan State Bar Foundation, Compuware, James A. and Faith Knight Foundation, Universal Fire & Casualty, James and Lynelle Holden Fund and many private contributors  – all through the Innocent Justice Foundation.   The investigator/forensic analyst invested more than 500 hours of forensic exam time and more than 1000 pictures of the three victims were found.
