The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department has critical needs:
In March 2009, Wauskesha County Sheriff Department took part in the arrest of a predator who was sexually assaulting a pre-school-aged child and photographing the assaults. Then he would distribute the images to other pedophiles. With the heavy caseload of predators like these, and the increasing sizes of their child sexual abuse image collections, the department has completely maxed out on storage capacity for cases. Without adequate storage, following necessary evidentiary rules for prosecution can be jeopardized. They also have no adequate cell phone forensic analysis device, which has caused difficulty in obtaining necessary evidence.
Request: On behalf of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, which is in desperate and immediate need of more storage and a cell phone forensic analysis device we are requesting a Digital Intelligence 16 terabyte RAID storage device and a Cellebrite cell phone forensic device.
Costs: $4,049 for the Cellebrite cell phone device, and $11,498 for the RAID storage.
