Recently, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) reported receiving a complaint through their CyberTipline from concerned citizen who noticed an adult user on a popular file hosting website soliciting sex from young girls. The concerned citizen reported the suspect’s email address and analysts from NCMEC were able to located the suspect’s online postings, in which he wanted to look at young girls in public places and was trying to recruit parents with similar interests to contact him to arrange a time and place to meet their daughters.
The analyst was able to determine that the postings were in the San Francisco area and immediately notified the San Jose Police Department and Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
From there, the ICAC team luanched an undercover operation by assuming the identity of a single parent with the a 13-year-old girl. The conversations quickly turned sexual in nature and the suspect made plans to meet the undercover investigator with the intention of having sex with his “daughter.”
Given this information, the ICAC team was able to obtain search warrants for the suspect’s email accounts and discovered that he had both received and distributed multiple child sexual abuse images. When authorities executed a search warrant on the suspects home, they found additional evidence, although no suspect; he was later found at a local hospital where his wife was giving birth to their daughter.
According to authorities, the suspect is currently facing charges of soliciting a minor child for sex, arranging with a minor child for sex, grooming a minor child for sex, and possession of child pornography.

According to authorities, a 19-year old and a juvenile accomplice broke in to Kraig Stockard’s barn in Dehli, CA, stealing 50 blank CD-R’s, but when they got home and tried to burn music to what they thought were blank discs, they discovered that 30 of them contained child pornography. Family members urged the two to report the discs to police, which they did. Ironically, a few days later Stockard reported the theft to the police.

Investigators served a search warrant on Stockard’s property and found three desktop computers and three laptops; authorities believe Stockard has been downloading child sexual abuse images and movies since 2004.
Stockard was arrested for possession of child pornography, and the two people who found and reported the child pornography were not arrested for burglary.
