With nearly 3.3 million residents, San Diego County is the fifth most-populous county in the United States. People live in 18 incorporated cities, 18 Indian reservations, 16 military locations and 64 unincorporated areas. Spanning approximately 4,500 square miles of area, including 70 miles of coastline, San Diego is the largest metropolitan area shared between the United States and Mexico Issues affecting life in the county are equally vast. Needs are complicated and often challenging to navigate. While many high-quality nonprofit organizations are successfully tackling the needs of area residents, their contributions often go unnoticed and unfunded.

San Diego Gives provides solutions. This region-wide day of giving (September 8, 2022) shines a light on pressing community needs and the impactful responses of our nonprofit community via an interactive website and an online crowdfunding campaign. San Diego Gives helps donors learn about a range of causes and nonprofits like The Innocent Justice Foundation.
